Upper Year Undergraduate

Be a part of the growing number of students who are applying to residence after their first year. Don't miss out!

Whether you are an exchange, transfer or graduate student, or whether you've lived on campus before or not, now's the time to live in residence!

We've made a number of changes to help accommodate the needs of the mature student. We know that as an upper-year student, your needs centre around comfort, opportunities for involvement, a sense of security, and convenience. We also recognize that as an experienced student, you already have a good understanding of what being at university is like. Your choice to live in residence in your later years of study helps add a mature and experienced influence throughout our buildings.

Students Returning to UWO (Main Campus)

After first year, all students who are single and studying full-time on main campus are welcome to apply to live in residence. Applications are available online in mid-December. Returning students enjoy placement in single rooms in a residence among their top-four choices. All placements are done in lottery-number order, and residence offers will be made by mid-February. Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list in date-received order. Priority is given to continuing scholar recipients as long as they apply by the deadline date.

You must have a valid nine-digit student number and four-digit PIN to login to My Residence to complete a residence application. If you do not have a valid student number, please contact us at 519-661-3547.

Transfer, Professional School, and Graduate Students

If you are single, studying full-time on main campus, you can apply online for residence once you have received an offer of admission to The University of Western Ontario main campus. You will need a valid Western student identification number to be eligible. Although priority is given to returning UWO students through our lottery process, we welcome all applications and add them to our waiting list in date-received order. Residence offers will be made throughout the summer depending on availability.

You must have a valid nine-digit student number and four-digit PIN to login to My Residence to complete a residence application. If you do not have a valid student number, which you will have received with your academic offer, please contact us at 519-661-3547.
