One of our Suite-Style residences, Lambton Hall, is offering Eight-Month Contract this year. Please read our FAQs below to find more information about this offer.
Lambton Hall provides spacious, furnished units that have a kitchen, dining room/living room and two bedrooms, four-piece bathroom, and storage room. They are well-appointed and complete with a stove, fridge, single bed, dresser, night table, living room couch/chair and coffee table, and dining room table/two chairs. Each bedroom has a twin bed, dresser, desk and desk chair. Microwaves are not included.
Drapes are also supplied along with in-building 24-hour laundry facilities. Utilities (ie., hydro, heat, water) are included. A mattress (196 cm (77") long by 91 cm (36") wide and a mattress protector are also provided. The space under the bed is 10". Cleaning service is not provided.
Each student will be charged $6,670 for the eight-month contract (September 2012 - April 2013) without a laundry card.
Upon acceptance of your offer to Lambton Hall, an $800 deposit will be required by the deadline date indicated on your offer email to secure the unit. The unit fees will be paid using the same payment deadline dates as other main campus residences.

In the event of cancellation after accepting your offer (ie. paying your deposit), written notification must be received by August 15, 2011 to be eligible for a refund of $400 of your deposit.

Residence student staff and residence life programming will be provided to help promote a living and learning environment within the building. These full-time students are well-trained to provide support and assistance to help you be academically successful.
At Lambton Hall, basic cable is provided with your residence fees. Students wanting a premium cable services must arrange this directly with Rogers Cable. RezNet service is provided for an additional fee of $320 for eight months. Students need to request the service through their residence application.
The majority of students opt to use their cell phones as their preferred telephone so telephone service is not offered.
Students requiring parking must purchase a permit from Parking Services. The closest student lot for parking is Springette. Students interested in a parking space in the Glenmore lot, should visit the Lambton Hall front desk, present their parking permit purchased from UWO Parking Services, and their name will be added to the waiting list. Once a space becomes available in the Glenmore lot, the Lambton Hall front desk will contact the student and provide them with a Glenmore pass.
At Lambton Hall, 24-hour card-activated washers and dryers are available within the building. You simply purchase the amount you want to add onto your laundry card.
Unfurnished units are not available for students residing in the building on an eight-month residence contract.
If you have a selected roommate, and you have both chosen each other as roommates, and have both been offered Lambton Hall, you will share a two-bedroom unit. If you have not selected a roommate, a roommate will be assigned to your twobedroom unit based on lifestyle preferences submitted on the residence application.
Lambton Hall residents can purchase a Campus Meal Plan or the smallest suite-style Residence Meal Plan.

Lambton Hall residents can move in between September 2-3, or after September 6th. First year students will be moving into Saugeen-Maitland Hall on September 4th and 5th, therefore, move-ins during September 4th and 5th will not be permitted.
If you arrive during regular business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) keys can be picked up from The Glenmore Apartments Rental Office.
