Residence is more than just a place to eat and sleep. Your student's choice to live on campus while studying at Western has many benefits, including:

  • Close connections to the campus, enabling your son or daughter to meet and make friends more quickly and easily;
  • Convenient access to classes, libraries, Rec Centre, and other campus facilities;
  • Engaged in the programs and activities that have been developed to support academic studies and personal growth; and more.

Your student can also choose to continue living in Residence after first year. We have two upper-year residences that offer more independence in addition to the convenience and comfort of campus living. Additionally, there are about 400 volunteer and employment opportunities available in Residence that your student can get involved, build up their resume, and help out financially.

Here you will find answers to some important questions that maybe on your mind. You are provided with tools to stay informed and help your student succeed in university.

Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions, or follow us on social media to stay informed on your student's residence life.
